Day 96: Fruit kebabs

Day 96 of #365 Creative #Ideas to do with your kids: Do your kids eat enough fruit? Juicy, fresh melons are brilliant to make these Fruit Kebabs. Make good use of a melon baller or cookie cutters to create these tasty treats.
sweet melon (spanspek)
honeydew melon
watermelon
small apples
You need: wooden or bamboo skewers
1. Cut the melons in half and remove any seeds.
2. Use a melon baller to scoop out balls. You can also cut thick slices of melon and use cookie cutters to press out shapes.
3. Thread the balls onto the skewers, alternating colours and shapes.
4. Halve the apples lengthways and place them, cut side down, on a plate. Firmly jab the fruit kebabs into the apple, so they stand upright.
Tip: Put the melons into the fridge to chill beforehand, or prepare the melon balls in advance, then chill them before threading onto the skewers.
