Day 205: Balancing Beams

Day 205 of #365 Creative #Ideas to do with your kids: All children need regular, active exercise, even if it is not outdoors. Encourage children to practice balance and coordination by walking on a line or beam. All you need is a plant of wood, it can be as wide as their foot to practice walking in a straight line on the beam.
If you don’t have a plant or beam, get the masking tape, tape down a line of any length, and challenge your child to walk on the line all the way to end. And definitely tape down further lines at different angles and zig-zags.Then get your child to try walking it heel-to-toe, or walking it backwards. Once they have mastered that, get them to try walking on the line with their eyes closed. They will need bare feet so that they can feel the line.
