Day 121: Water Play

Day 121 of #365 Creative #Ideas to do with your kids: Do you encourage water play? Water play is one of the most enjoyable educational activities for children and doesn’t need to be restricted to bath time. The more messy the better, of course, so it’s perfect for hot days when the kids need to cool off. But there are plenty of fun indoor water-play activities. Washing dolls’ clothes can give hours of joy. Lots of bubbles add to
the fun and hanging it all up with pegs is a good exercise in motor coordination. Set up
a string washing line between two chairs (this also works well in the garden), or hang
one at the right height over the bath so that the clothes don’t drip on the floor. For boys, you can encourage then to wash their toys. From my book, Cool Spaces for Kids (Hamlyn UK)
